Go Up Go Down

Hunted a boy scout camp on Kentucky Lake today and had a great time cherry picking clad as only the Green Machine can!  Met the Ranger and he gave me his cell number in case I want to hunt the camp when it isn't open to the public.  Gotta love southern hospitality.  The day's take was 33 Rosies, 3 Nickels, 18 Quarters, and 44 Lincolns.  Also a medallion that seems to be scout related.  The camp was founded in 1954, but it appears that the easy silver has been well hunted.

I'll go back and be more diligent, but just had a fine time today bell-toning clad as fast as I could dig!  I hit multiple spills and even clad just laying on the surface.  For those who are new to the Garrett TID, remember it is not at all 100% on size and depth, and a whole lot of practice using it in conjunction with your ears is needed to get the most out of it.  Next time I'll pick an area and go for silver with the 2500's super depth in all-metal, but once in awhile it is a lot of fun just raking in clad.

HH

Paul P.

Those are great finds. The medal looks like the merit badge they give in the boy scouts for Scholarship or reading.
