Go Up Go Down

While searching the woods near my grade school last fall I found this 1859 Seated Liberty half dollar at the base of an old oak tree stump, about 7 inches down. It's my oldest silver coin find. They had old flea markets and other things going on in there many years ago. Found with my MineLab X-Terra 705.

It's the only Seated Liberty half dollar I've ever found. I've found sixteen other half dollars over the years but never one this old. Excited for sure!

Not to sound old but I remember those for my Allowance or Lunch money.  Yea at age 5 I got a Allowance.  Received it on Friday.  Spent on Saturday.   Double Matinee movie, bag of pop corn, soda, stayed for the second movie, Bought more soda. Still had some pop corn.  On the way home bought a fare size bag of candy for the week.     Later I learned the value of money.  I saved 5 cents a week and bought the stuff I needed to build the Models and Electronic parts I needed.    Islam never See's this part of Life.
