Go Up Go Down

I found these Friday during a two hour hunt in a local park.  The finds aren't significant, but the search was.  It is the first time I have been able to get out detecting since I broke my heel on June 30 this year!  Yay for me!  It was also the first time I was able to use my newest detector, a Compass Coin Scanner Pro II that I purchased this summer.  I found the detector works great and I will probably be using it a lot in the future.

My finds include a nickel and 4 zinc pennies.  I also found a lot of pulltabs and foil because I had the discrimination turned down significantly as I checked out the detector.  The small aluminum piece was found 2-3 inches down so I now know the Pro II will find the little stuff.  The Hot Wheels car was under a picnic table.

I had a great time, even if the finds weren't the most terrific!

Thanks AU.  The heel held up well.  I still can't put full weight on it yet, so the getting up and down was a little slow and difficult at times!  When I'm not leaning on the detector I'm leaning on a cane.  But hey, I was out detecting!

I have a copy of the UK review of the detector.  I'm still reading through the manual and the reviews, both UK and US ones!

Nice new toy! I almost got my hands on an old compass this summer. Was sold by the time I got there 2 hours later  Angry  Great to hear you were able to get out there. I know its been killin ya, but take care of that foot so you can heal faster and get at it full time again.
