Today I liked to metal detect in my back yard and this it was I found.

That large item appears to be a large copper or bronze planchet of some sort.  I cannot tell by your photo aside from its comparative size to the cents - is it flat like a coin?

it's not, it look like lead. I don't know what it is  Huh?

If the backyard you mentioned is in Silver Spring (you list that as your location in your profile) there is a long history of settlement in the area, going back as far as land tracts granted by Lord Baltimore circa 1730s. Prior to that, the area was inhabited by the Piscataway tribe.  (I'm a SMIB  Crazy... the area of MD that I'm originally from has a similar history and was also inhabited by the Piscataway.)

Given that, I'm sure there are plenty of opportunities to find relics in your area.

I don't think it is something important. I washed it with water and no symbols on it, so, it is a piece of junk!! Sad
