Go Up Go Down

Starting to get back in the swing of things and got out for a short hunt Sat.morning.  A friend and I thought we would try a location we had talked about that morning.  Normal sort of finds and lots of trash but it was old trash so we thought it had otential and continued on. I had found some common clad and then an odd find of a glass cutter which works just fine after cleaning it up.  Hit a few more clad coins and was thinking of calling it a day when I decided to check another spot further back in the area we were hunting.  That's when I ran across the phone.  ENVY2 by LG brought it home charged it up and was pleasantly suprised to see that it took a charge and worked.  Interesting find to say the least.  Here's the pics.

Thanks for looking and happy hunting all!

The last time  I found a phone it was at the beach. It was already on. I rang the number listed as Mom and mom answered. We had a nice chat about teenaged girls losing phones. She came to the house and retrieved it for her daughter. She and my wife hit it off right away as our daughter (25) also loses her phone regularly. Even though they will never be aware of it, we verbally abused both of the girls often referring to them as complete scatterbrains. Which they are.

A fun time was had by the parents.

This one had a dead battery when I found it.  I was able to charge it though and it holds a charge powers up and seems to be functional aside from the fact that it is deactivated.  My guess is whoever lost it had the service switched to another phone or made a claim on the lost phone and had the service switched over to the replacement phone.

Nice glass cutter - now, that's something I would call a good find. Glad you're swinging again. I went out for awhile Sunday a.m., but only found clad and a nice big industrial iron tent stake from a vendor fest in park. I liked that - might come in handy someday. Sue

That's a great little find! I like the keyboard looking input. That would suit me to a tee. I only text using the web. I hate the way you have to do it from the dialing keypad.

My mobile phone has a tiny lady in it who tells me the caller's name when it rings. With the GPS on, she also tells me when I have missed a turn. Sexy voice. British accent.

Nice find. Tried finding the owner? Might be a reward, but don't count on it.

Hello String,

a quite uncommon find! Haven't seen anyone else finding a mobile yet! Who knows, in some hundred years it could have been a find of great archeological importance Smiley

Regards,

Christian

From the way it looks to me based on the phone log it looks like service was pulled on the phone about 2 weeks before I even found it.  My guess is the owner chalked up the loss and made a claim to replace the phone or switched service to another.  For the amount of txting and calling they were doing they wouldn't have went without for long at all.
