Mineral oil ? Well if a coin dealer will use it, it is worth a try. Coin dealers are very pickey about how a coin is cleaned, guess I better try it also. I know silver cleans up a lot better than copper coins.Although i have a silver dollar that has a grey petina that I like and do not wish to remove it. Cleaning jewerly this way would be great. I have lots of silver rings and some are very dark. Thanks for the tip.

Thanks for the mineral oil tip.  I like that it doesn't remove the patina.  Great finds...
