For all of those guys and gals that can't get out to detect because of the cold weather, you look at some pixes of my January finds so far this month. Cheer up, Spring is only 11 Saturdays away. Clean up your coins while you are snow bound and spring will be here before you know it and then it will be your chance to show me all of your great finds. The last pic was what I found this afternoon.

A bad day at gold prospecting or metal detecting is better than a good day at work.

Yeh I guess so. Coz I know you HATE being cooped up and would LOVE to get out detecting. I know there are a number of members out there that are in the same situation you are or worse, and would like something to do other than sitting around the old pot belly stove trying to keep their detector from freezing.  Grin. Got any pictures of last years finds you would like to share? Maybe like a collage or something?

Don't feel too bad, you'll be getting your revenge soon enough.  It's just a matter of time before Carl's having to deal with three months of daily temps between 100 and 118 F (37.8 to 47.8 C).   And with sparse rainfall, that means most of the soils outside of well water parks are going to be like steel reinforced concrete.   Digging time will be from 5 am to 9:00 am and from 6:30 pm to dark.  That or you go 3 hours north into the mountains and hope for a shady spot in the trees at higher elevation.

Not scoffing anybody. Love ya all no matter what you say. I am posting finds so the ones that canvt get out can at least see some finds. If nobody posts any finds during someone else's winter, ( north or south of the equator ) then no one will see any posts. Shocked. I couldn't bare that scenario.

Here is what I found today. Nothing that will make me rich, but I am able to get out. Supposed to get colder with rain this week.

Like BA said, when it gets hot here, i would like to see what you guys are finding while I snuggle up to the air conditioner.
