Went to the coast yesterday it being Easter and all.
Not going to reveal exactly where, lets just say "the west country" here in the u.k.
Had permission to search on a private bit of beach.
Didn't find a lot for an hour or two, only a few pounds in modern currency.
I then concentrated my searching around an area of rocks.
After quite a while of finding nothing but bits of copper and iron I got a huge signal from the minelab.
It was coming from a gap about an inch wide between a couple of pretty hefty rocks.
I used the "probe" i'd built to locate it exactly and tried to recover it.
It took about an hour to get out with the help of a pretty hefty pry bar to seperate the rocks.
Out came a very blackened large coin shape!
I've now cleaned it up a bit...... and it's in great condition!
