Found these today and I have no clue what they are one looks like a shoe made of copper length of 3 inches. The other looks like a printing plate that say's "Walk Over' The Shoe for You" With a women in the left corner. It's all backwards. Looks like zinc with a layer of copper on top. Really cool looking. can't find one anywhere. Only other info I've found is it was the O.B. Newcomer company in Lanark, Illinois. I still have no clue how to post pictures. I'm on a iMac if that makes a difference. Really neat find. Pictures I have a great. Just don't know how to post.

Thank you for the information. Thought I was going nuts. Kept trying to post pictures and they just wouldn't upload.
Here are the pictures.

Haven't found much on the plate or the other crazy looking thing yet. Really bitting at the bit to find out more info on these.

The printing plate is used to provide a set, recognizable border for a changing advertisement (like weekly specials in a newspaper).  You can see a  'Walk Over' ad that uses a different plate here

.  That should give you an idea of how the plate was used (notice this one is for a 5th Avenue, New York address)

The factory was in Campello, Massachusetts   --- a BW film of a tour of the factory was made in 1907 and shown in Boston area theatres (

just looking at the other object and assuming that it was found near the printing plate, I'd guess that it was part of a "model" shoe for display in the store (or maybe part of an ashtray or similar piece of advertising paraphenalia for the store)

Really interesting find, Dgrs2. I've never seen anything like that.
