Here is what I found in my best park today. Saw dandelions today in the park. Odd for us in January. The 5 dimes in the 2nd column were all less than 1/2" DOWN, all in a 4" circle. Probably a pocket spill. These finds were all in an area 25' across between 2 trees. I was looking in that area for a buffalo nickel my friend lost about 8 months ago. Didn't find it, just this stuff. The earrings are pot metal. Don't know about the stones. They are pretty shiny. I will go back tomorrow as I didn't dig all the signals, just the loud ones.
Hey BA, a pair of earrings again Grin

Good job Dusty C!  Glad you are getting out.  Is the weather good enough you can get out prospecting?

Maybe here in the valley but no pace to do it, but the claims are close to and in the mountains, and it is still a little too damp for dry washing. Water is not plentiful yet for sluicing or dredging. However it's nice in the valley here and I coin shoot most every day. Today I found 13 pennies, a quarter, and a token from a pizza place. But my biggest find is what I went to this park for in the first place. Today I found my friends 1920 buffalo nickel. Clapp Musican Victory Circle Beer Chug Ladies King that he lost there and wanted to find. It was about 100 feet from where he thought he had lost it and the last coin I dug before it was to dark to continue. He's working night shift security work and hasn't heard the news yet, but I am sure he will be glad when he does.

Can hardly wait to tell him as he looked a little down when he told me he had lost it 8 months ago and it had some kind of special significance to it.

Congratulations on finding your friend's Buffalo nickel!  How did he take the news when you let him know?  At least you are able to get out. Still hard (that would be "frozen") ground and cold weather here in the northeastern mountains of Oregon!   Thumbs Down

Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. Business kept me away.
Yes, my friend was very happy that I was able to find it after 8 months of being lost plus sorry for pointing me to the wrong area. All's well that ends well.

Here is a pix of the other stuff I found nearby as well as the "infamous nickel"

Thanks for the applause guys.
