Go Up Go Down

Been off of MD'ing for a couple of years due to retirement, cancer and moving but yesterday I finally broke out the old XLT for a test drive.. I had to remember a few things about operating it (still reviewing some old materials). My landlady wanted me to come across the street to her place to use it in her garden area so I did so. Didn't stay long but was able to find some 'junk' and some items that were just too deep in hard pan (I will go back after a few rains and the ground softens up). However, I was able to find a 1921 10-centime (french) piece and a newer 20 centime coin. The older coin was interesting because it was my first find since moving to France and the coin had a center hole in it and was in really good shape...... so, now I guess I need to go out more often, right?!.. (and I need to focus on that new MD next month?).

RobRoy59,

Thanks.. As a courtesy, I left the coin with the landlord. However, I will take a photo and post it for anyone who wants to look at it (if I can get a good photo...it's the size of a US dime). Hope to post other finds in the NEAR future...Coloma Gold

Hi ARR!,

thanks for the Welcome... Yep, the more I read about the finds on this website and the technical help (not withstanding the encouragement) the more I am itching to order my new detector.... I'll let you know.. I still like me XLT but 2 frequencies sounds inviting... Coloma Gold
