found this modern bracelet the otherday with the TGSL 7" down grassland thought it was junk till the mrs rinsed it in warm water, sterling silver

Chains are always difficult to identify in the ground. Most sound like foil or something "fuzzy" making them really hard to both locate and recover.

That's a nice looking piece. Congrats and thanks for sharing.

It was my second build, tested each component for tolerence before fitting, was finding about 2-3 caps out of bags of 50 that were actualy in spec, also did the same with the 308 ics to get both channels matched which is where the secret lies for a good working TGSL.
Cant really comment on silverdog kits, would imagine components are out of the bag so some proberly work better than others.

Your right golddigger chains are diffecult to read, it was a good day for me because my back wasnt playing up so i was digging everything that wasnt iron, holy grail of digging for small silver like the chain, pre47 tanner on its edge etc is dig foil, because readings are the same.
If you want the good finds unless your very lucky you need to dig all the crap with it.
With the TGSL with stock coil use discrimination mode with control fully anticlock wise.
