Thanks, that gun is made so well that I thought it might be  real until I got a good look and rinsed it. I think you might be right on the age of that bell......that thing is cast metal and looks ancient. It's 1  1/4" round  and the ball insiide is about 5/16" or bigger and is of a different metal that has a small amount of iron content in it because it has rust spots here and there on it. The outside of the bell is silverish grey in color with faint glimpses of the typical green corrosion of copper here and there, maybe cast brass? I dont know but from the casting process, it was definitely hand polished without using the tools we have today for sure lol.

Cool stuff vision!  All that in one outing?  Wow, you even found your own new digger, too!  Great  Thanks for posting the pics.  That Indian coin is great.  I wasn't aware that tribes minted their own coinage.  Good to know, too.  And thanks for sharing all the information!   Clapp   Detecting

Ah, to have a personal treasure hunting ground at my disposal, something I can only dream about.
Never mind about my dreams, congratulations on the nice finds, the cap gun is really sweet.  Smiley
Almost sounds like you need a sieve to help you separate your trash from your treasure.
Keep having fun, HH Robroy59
