Go Up Go Down

I got out to a frequently hunted park.
I did manage to find 40 quarters and dimes. I was surprised to find so much in a park that I have hunted so much. Most of the coins were deeper and I did find  a couple of combos of 4 quarters and a dime.
I think that it's the ground saturation since we've had some rain lately.

You know QK you might be on to something with the ground saturation thing.
I know a old coin shooter that says he always does better after a rain in heavily hunted areas. He hunts 6 plus hours a day 300 plus days a year so for now I am going to take his word for it.

Yes, snow and cold weather can put a damper on things. It snowed just a smidget down here in Alabammy recently and I didn't even get to see any of it and make a foot-tall snow man--ha! Ol' frosty'll have to wait till we get some real snow in our neck of the woods... Fight Wise

Hey glad you were able to get out.  I have hunted twice this year, well three times, if you count today when I found a lost ring.  The two times I hunted in the ground, it was in a woods, with lots of leaves, making the ground soft.  I came away with two silver dimes and a silver cross and some wheat's.

I've been hunting for over 25 years and I can tell you The Wetter The Better!!!

Here in Ohio, my best finds are in the Spring.  Also, you can take this with a grain of salt, when the weather changes, from hot to cool and a rain storm is coming, sometimes with these conditions, the silver will jump at your coil.  LOL  Think about it, sometime when you are out and something changes and coins start coming out of the ground, then just as fast as it changed, it can go the other way.

HH, Ringfinder
