Great finds there! Truely one of those finds of a lifetime I'm sure. Could something happen like that twice? Could someone be struck by lightning twice? Sure, but it's rather unlikely. Thanks for posting those great pics too! All lined up like that doesn't seem to be a pocket-spill to me though. If they had them all in their pocket, they'd go splashing down onto the ground, unless they were sitting on the ground, but still they'd be in a bigger disarray. Hmmm.

What is your theory? It is clear that it was not a pocket spill. Obviously they were carefully placed with a purpose. My psychology student thought that kids or an adult placed them as part as a treasure hunting game. Now, these coins were like 4 inches down already and probably sitting there for a few years now. Also very unlikely for kids to find them without a detector because they were hidden right on one corner of the lot.  Undecided

man these guys just won't quit i guesse they thought it had been long enough they where wrong, and i would suppose that those coins had been in a roll that was paper some one probaly had been slowly using them in a snack machine or soda machine and would just keep rolling the top down on the roll as the used them up, great find  Smiley
