Very nice! I'm amazed at the ages of your finds. I don't think I'll ever come across something from the 1700's in my country....thats awesome!
Thanks for the pics. Smiley

mikeK-

Well, metal detecting is forbidden in Sweden if you don?t have the right permits and some of the ppl that hands out or supposed to hand out permits don?t know how to, so i just hunt beaches clearing them out from nails and other dangerous object since i don?t think that they should try to bring up legal issues and try to put my ass in jail! Tongue

But i?m going to ask my mom's neighbour since he?s a farmer and owns very large bits of property and that shouldn?t be any probs, even if i really even need a permit to sweep my own back yard.

Anyway mikeK, your finds really rock!

as long as you know the land owener should be no problem, the same here you need a permit to search the parks, thats why I search night time,,,clean the junk and other crap out, been seen a few times no one says anything, plus all the WWII schrapnell that I remove, the germans are happy to see that crap removed, and whats my reward,,,,a few euro an DM coins and some times a bit of jewellery, still its the hobby that I love,10 years ago found two full phosphor tubes, wwii crap, phoned the police and they where removed, and no one asked me for a permit(was in the local park),,even the cop had a go with the detector..the way I see it,Im doing no harm cleaning up our parks,Im not a grave robber,I love history and this great hobby
