Go Up Go Down

Got out for around 4 hours today. Was'nt expecting much. The weekend is the only time I can hunt so I gave it a go. 30 minutes in my batteries cut out and I left my spares on the table. Went around the corner to my friend's house who happened to have eight AA batteries. Saved me the trip back home. The earring is silver at least.

That's quite a haul of coins and weights. What do you do with the fishing weights?
Glad you were able to get out.

HH, Mike in NJ , I'm impressed that you got all that in 4 hrs. I made one trip to Green Key beach in Florida and came up with a half dozen clad coins and a hand full of junk. Oh yes, a few sinkers and lures which I threw back. I blamed the poor find on my inexperience and the fact that the beach is swept once a week to pick up the cigarett butts and bottle caps. gambol

Thanks. I'd love to find where they dump all the stuff they sweep off the beach Detecting. This beach does'nt get swept. Probably will be back there for the early a.m. low tide.

Well done, Mike, well done.   (I especially like your plan to go back in the early morning)

Mike, went back to Green Key Beach with my detector wife Sunday and came away pretty empty again. We dug for about 3 hours and came up with a few clad coins and a hair beret. I'm going to have to give up on this one. The 150 gets confused in the salt sand. In the all metal mode you have to cut the sensitivity down and your depth is limited to 3 inches.
