I don't believe it is too old. One that was  in  good  shape  was selling forv $8.00. Others around $3 - $4. It's biggest value to me was in finding it. I cleaned it a little, and it has some lavender paint on it. I am out detecting a park right now, and found some kids jewelry,  $2.03, a toy tank, a ring with 16 stones (copper) a large robin shaped pendant, and a "wheatie" penny. So far. Going for lunch, then back. Hundreds of targets every few feet and can't decide which to dig. Met another detectorist there that lives in the neighborhood , and he told me he comes there a lot and every time he goes home with a handful of change. Said he has been doing that for 10 years. I  beleive it because many of the coins were spotted not detected. I  will post pictures later. Wish you guys could join me and share in the fun.

Dusty Carl

Nice Car Dusty, looks like you are in a hot spot, keep going, if that guy has been going there for 10 years or so he just might not be up to your Skill level.

Good luck to Him and You,

RR

Well here is the poop on todays finds.
9 quarters
17 dimes
2 nickels
74 pennies
1 wheatie penny
93 coins.          $4.80
1 cell phone
1 toy tank
1 bird pendant
1 copper "sweet 16" ring w/ charm
2 small teligeous pendants
single post earring
1 piece of jewelry
The park is 500' x 500' for the soccers field  alone. People line up by the hundreds to watch practice and tournaments. then there is the tennis courts, tot lot, picnic areas, and vacant areas. I  only covered 300 feet along one fence, and about 20 feet of width. 5 hours of digging in the hot sun. It was so much fun, I didn't mind it at all.
I  will post a picture in a few minutes. Forgot to resize it.

Dusty Carl
