Go Up Go Down

Went to a school playground this morning for about an hour then to a small tot lot for an hour tonight.

Can't believe how short the days are getting up here, dark by 8 now.

Had a pretty good time, and may have gotten a buddy bitten with the MD bug Smiley  He found his first two "treasures" using my BH at the tot lot.  It's a nice small lot, so i will definitely be going back there to get a more thorough search in.

Few pics of today's finds, last 3 are the interesting finds.  Small button from some jeans, bobby pin with a butter fly, and a small "no idea what it is" but It looks like a pin or something, nonmagnetic so I think it's aluminum Smiley

You are in a good spot, my friend. research some of the paths between trading posts, the real location of the Fort Edmonton, Anthony Henday's journal, etc.

Not bad for a short hunt. Better keep at it while you can before winter sets in and your frozen out. Smiley

Caleb, it's the time of year around here where I spend almost as many hours in an arena as I do in the office.   Looks like I may be coaching 2 ringette teams this year and with my son's hockey, I'll most likely be in an arena 5 nights a week.  I'm hoping we have a decent fall here and that it doesn't start freezing till late October Smiley

well that cuts into your swinging time for sure, although if you get into a good spot you can pull some coins pretty quick. got 10 this morning in 25 minutes, the new digger cuts some pretty plugs and is much faster then the screwdriver.

Nice finds man:)   So, any idea how much it would cost to send one of your new cutters to your northern brethren Smiley

I'll be working around my schedule as much as possible, I work in a new area of the city that I live by, i don;t think anything is older than 3-5 years old so there really isn't any close places to hunt on lunch.   to go for a quick swing on my lunch break at home though is a 30 minutes drive Smiley  I will now be checking out parks that are lit after it gets dark as in the fall it will start being pretty dark around 6.
