Hi All,
I did about total 5 hours detecting at the farm I have access to in the UK.
Not really enough to get going but 5the real purpose of our visit is for family reunions of which this time there were many, also I had my granddaughter along who is the youngest member of our family so everyone wanted to see her.

The owner of this farm has about the best attitude toward our hobby I have ever encountered I only wish I could get a few days on the property (next time).

There were no special finds and only one silver, and the ever present shrapnel which makes up the bulk of the finds, some tokens and foreign coins.
My granddaughter came along with her new found English friend and some time was spent picking black berries "which I ended up having to do" and which my mum turns into pies as if by magic.........HH.....Johnnn

Sounds like you had a great time - plenty to really treasure. Cute pix of your granddaughter detecting - she hit the jackpot with those blackberries - they're huge - mmm, pie. Sue

looks like .303 blanks. either used for training or grenade launching. I think maybe the best find was the berries ...MmmMMMmMMMm

Hi Thylordjj,
Those berries were a distraction alright, but so were the two girls had to keep an eye on them.
The blanks are from what we called "DADS ARMY" during WW2 all the able bodied veterans were mobilized into units and trained in sabotage and crude defensive stuff so blank cartridges are in nearly all the fields..HH....Johnnn
