We drove through driving rain and wondered if would abate, as we arrived it was like someone turned the tap OFF. just dont bump into the trees. Anyway turned into a very nice day and Im sure you could watch the leaves growing.
Found some more 1812 buttons and again even more different regiments . royal Canadian volunteers, 49th reg, another large 41st reg and a fragmented Shako plate with a few letters on it but not enough to determine which reg. Some large square nails also 1812 in good shape and impacted musket balls not enough to say there was a skirmish.....HH...John
