The one on the left looks like it might be a 58 caliber mini ball,but it's hard to tell the actually size by photo.69 caliber was used a lot in the civil war in the early years.They were smooth bore and usually shot a round ball something like the on on the right minus the hole.Most 58 cal. had a rifled barrel,this is what the grooves on the bullet is for.So this leads me to think it's a 58 cal.I did civil war reenacting for several seasons back in my home state "25th.Virginia company A" I also own two 58 cal reproduction enfields and this looks like the rounds that I shoot at target shoots.
I do think that the one on the right is a round ball "maybe 58 cal." When they are casted a burr is left on the ball and it looks like someone for some reason tapped a hole in this area.
