Go Up Go Down

Got my 1st treasure today after a rather trying 2 days.. The problem is that I have no idea what it is but I know it's better than the scrap I had been finding and much better than the empty holes that were more numerous than the scrap. Anybody have a clue what this is?? C'mon, guess...make something up even! LOL! It's about an inch long by about 3/4" wide.

Hi Seldom, Thanks! :] That's kinda what I was thinking too.. Here's a picture of the back.. it was buried along with some broken glass.. I might have to go back to the hole tommorow and see if I can find the main stone or picture that appeared to be inthe center...dunno..but very cool :]

You busted me! LOL! Nah but after the looks I was gettin from the wife the day before I thought about pullin some Morgans from the collection and showin her what i found.. LOL, She's way to smart for that but it did cross my sneaky mind.
Lovin the Ace but still flirtin with the idea of the gti 1500...but the Ace is doing it's job and now if I can just match it we'll be just fine! I just have to get the pinpointing down so my holes don't need them sewer covers...could lose a kid that way.. ;]
Hey, this is combining all my replies into one long reply..

Hey Sweeper, I'm with the rest of the guys that are guessing that it contained a picture.   I'll go them one further and say it looks like it was actually a locket (which could be either a brooch, a pendant or a bracelet) with the metal cover missing as well as the picture missing.  I'm not sure whether the hinge or the clasp would have been at the top of the picture as you show it.....probably the hinge.

Still, that a great start---better than a lot folks.

BA
