Craig,
Thanks for the information on the Frommer Stop Pistol.  I didn't know anything about it.  I suppose the owner dumped it at the end of the war.

Wessie,
The bullets were in a clip that was rusted.  I didn't see any date.  The clip is not with me at this time but somewhere in Kentucky.

I would rather find some CW guns than modern ones..they are much more interesting than those hidden by nuts!

I collect weapons..and I don't fear them..nor am I a "gun nut"   OK I have a Bren gun..a Thompson..several differant Sten guns..a very nice MG 34 ect.

I don't feel a need to hide them as I myself have nothing to hide.
However here in Canada the past Liberal Gov almost outlawed firearms for the wrong reasons...I guess they wanted the vote..and they only made it hard for Honest owners..not for the "bad guys"

Just my thoughts.

Dean

Dean:
You misunderstood my "post" !
For one thing,
Here in the U.S. , we do not have to hide our weapons!
Every Citizen is    GUARANTED OWNERSHIP
It IS A "RIGHT"
It is NOT A privilege that can be revoked !
(Anytime the Govt. feels unsafe!)
But!
A DOWN RIGHT IRRREVOKABLE
RIGHT!
The idea of weapons caches...was!
Two Friends of mine...FOund in Southern New Mexico ....
Two Cases of Rifles.. that, in the late 1800's!
Were to be delivered to Fort Bowie, in Southern Arizona...From ElPaso,Tx.
These 2 guys found !
Brand New
45/70 Springfield Rifles....
Still in the Bear Grease?
NOW!
That is not Civil War...That is!
Indian War!
