Go Up Go Down

Hit a trashy park for 2 1/2 hours.  53 coins, 6 quarters, 16 dimes, 5 nickels, 26 pennies.  Felt good to get out thought.  Ground still frozen 2-3 inches here in Chicago.

With tone i.d. on with the dfx it is easier because you can basically avoid digging garbage...but will miss rings also by not digging the questionable signals.  But with the ground still frozen a little that should end today 50 degrees again 60 tomorrow Grin  Decided just to dig only exact vdi readings for coins.  Ended up only digging two pulltabs this way.  That is what a lot of people don't realize when they buy the lower end detectors and think they are the same!  Detectors like the DFX and Explorer have so many options....it is like having ten detectors in one! Smiley  Allows you to adjust for conditions and save a ton of wasted time!  Well everyone have a good time, by the way my sling for the detector I made worked great!  Made the detector weightless!  But the strap around neck needs a little work...neck a little sore, otherwise perfect!

Great finds!! I never seem to understand what My metaldetector says, I don't trust it. I'm thinking about getting a different coil for it,and see how that works.
