Go Up Go Down

I don't know if these count, however i just had to share this with someone. A few years back, I bought a book called " Metal Detecting in Australia " by Colin Webster (one of the original Aussie MD Gurus ) Mainly because, A. it was available, and B. somebody had told me it had information about my Garrett A2B Gold Hunter. I paid the princely sum of $3 for the book, from a local secondhand bookstore, run by a charity called lifeline. As i said in another recent post this time with the machines out of the closet, I'm getting serious about pursuing this hobby/recreation. So tonight i had pulled all my MD and prospecting books out along with my collection of Australian Gold, Gem and Treasure magazines out to do some serious research. Looking through the index in the front of the book, I looked up the page number of the chapter that dealt with what, were, when the book was written, The latest machines. There was a paragraph or so outlining the features of each machine. Being the end of the book, there were a couple of pages where one could write their own notes. So I decided to see if the previous book owner had written anything of interest. and what do you know i find an Australian one pound note circa 1950's withdrawn from circulation in 1966, in extra fine condition i believe it's valued around $200 to $300 and to top it off also in Great condition a $1 Note, which was what replaced the pound. if they are considered off topic then delete this thread but I just had to tell someone.  Clapp  Great  Grin  Shocked  Hello

Gozzo, nothing says you have to have use a metal detector for a find to count.......and that's my "official" opinion as well as my personal opinion.

Congratulations
