Go Up Go Down

I set out on a quest with knowledge that I had permission to hunt in an area where some old homes had been purchased and torn down by an individual for purposes of building a commercial plaza.
This gave me a little security that I would not be ran off.
An hour and a half drive and what I saw discouraged me throughly.
Some detectorists do not care if a sign says "Private property no trespassing".
I was informed by some of the neighbors nearby that the sites had been pounded for about two weeks! I called the owner and no, I was the only one who asked for permission.
The local Metal Detectorists in "Cleburne Texas" raped the site without so much as a can I.
I tried in vain to find something with little success.
My friend did manage a pretty good find and I only came out of there with some clad coins and a Large caliber bullet "Live round".
I hope the fellas who trespassed there feel pretty good about themselves.
Shame on them and I hope they never find another silver coin or any gold ever again.
The bullet is self explanitory and the tag is  Political memorabila, I think.

Yep, Some folks Just don't give  a Chit.

Cool finds.

That is a 30-06 Tracer round.   Cool.   Look at the Head Stamp and tell us what numbers and Letters on it.

A Photo would be better.

The tag looks like it may have belonged to a dog named Parker from Davis, Washington in 1904. Maybe you can find his family?

Your bullet looks like a .50 cal. I'm guessing because I don't know the size of your hand. It might be a blank round (no powder and no primer) used for repair of those guns which were used as door guns in the Viet Nam conflict and are still in use today. A belt with dummy rounds was run through it during testing after repair or service was performed on the gun. Look at the stamp on the base to see if it is a dummy round.

No Dummy Round!  Live Tracer!

Red Tip is Tracer.

Blue is Incendiary.

Training round ether have no Primer or have holes drilled in the  case.

THIS ONE IS LIVE!   JUST PUT IT AWAY and you have one.

Cool Beans.

Tell me the Head Stamp and I can tell you when and were it was made.

That is a quote from the original post that opened the topic.....it's the part everyone seems to miss.   Out4Gold did everything right, including getting permission from the property owners to hunt the property----only to find that others, who prefer to ignore "Private Property No Trespassing" signs (or at least don't believe they apply to them)  beat him to it.   And from what I'm guessing, they probably also did not do a very good job of filling their holes either (but why should they since they don't respect private property).

I've got no idea why it attributed the quote to you, though, since I took it from Out4Gold's posting.
