Hi all,Had a great time today at one with nature again not a human in site, I prefer it that way when I get out detecting.
This site was a training site for WW1 soldiers and apart from the many thousands of shell casings some real good finds come up.
Two silver fish scales Edward and Geo V 1904 and 1910, two big pennies both Edward 1905 and 1910 a very nice Collar dog dated 1914 and a few common buttons......I havent taken pics of the 150 or so shell casings "boring".
I did take a pic of two casings that are a complete mystery. These two are head stamped ..1920 so they are just after the first war..Heres the mystery, they were both on the surface and had not buried themselves as nature requires, they just lay there for 90 years I cant figure that out.
........HH  Johnnn

Those finds are interesting.

I have hunted a WW I training
camp here. I only found one coin.

But I did find a insiglia pin and
several other items of interest.

Not much could found on top of
the ground. There were a few
that were shallow. Most were
too deep.

Talk about on top of the ground
find. A fellow was metal detecting
and saw an interesting rock. He
flipped it over.

It was a Clovis Point around 13,500
years old.

You just never know?
