Was pretty humble, but had to get out in the fresh snow, as I hunt year around, did hit a NEW play area, place is only a couple weeks old, didn' expect much and that's what I got, temp was running bout 30 and felt real good and brisk, got $2.27 in change a cheap ring and a busted rivit, was using a Garrett, gold stinger / SCORPION, nice to get out, ground was frozen so used my Lesche Pick, works great in ice and froze dirt Great

Breaking you metal detector out in weather like that is about like trying to detect in the Phoenix area in July and August.....only the die-hard dare to. Still I guess there are advantages to hunting in the snow---especially if you can find a place where people have to take off their gloves or mitts for some reason.

Merry Christmas Sue.....

I never thought of that!!! Great tip. I find that dirt parking lots by the High Schools are a great place to hunt. I really hope to take my youngest step-daughter (15) out on my days off next week to a few of them.

Glad to hear you were able to get out and do some hunting. The weather has been keeping me in lately along with my schedule but I hope to be getting out again soon myself. Good luck on the next hunt.

bugar, they are great finds for that kind of weather. look at the bright side , you are $2.27 richer than the ones who didnt brave the snow and ice. they are a little warmer but you are a little richer. lol. thanks for the pics, catbird...................

To cold for me it get in the 40's it's over, guess it comes from growing up in the south it gets in the 90's and I am still there. Nice finds Bugar and you to Sue like a old coin hunter I know use to say Keep Looking Down.
