Tag from oil can I believe. Screw pin on back.
The Magnolia Oil co. circ 1911 -193...
Even though there is a Magnolia flower on the tag,
their Co. logo depicted a Red Pegasus sound familiar?
Their red Pegasus was adopted by Mobil Oil after
aquiring Mangolia and has has been their icon ever since.
Found at Lamar dump site.

Good find - nice history about it, too.

I'm suprized Seldom did not ring in telling us "hey I remember them"!!!!!!!
I found a Texaco ceramic glazed sign nearby too, that wound up as a Christmas gift.
I'll see if he can send me a pic of it.
I've said it before, you never know what you will come out of there with.

The old refillable oil container, I took it off of, was in too bad of shape to be restorable.

That is pretty neat. I like antiques, but end up giving away or selling them. I just don't have the space... but I especially love antiques that have something to do with our automotive history.

Oh man, Out4Gold, that is one very neat find....especially for anyone interested in either Texas history or the history of the petroleum industry.
