No luck with my online searching again today. I ordered this book .. "Tokens and Medals - A Guide to the Identification and Values of United States Exonumia"

I figured it would be a good reference to have around anyway. Will I find what I am looking for in there possibly?
A little follow up on this post.

It seems that Red Goose Shoes did make presidential trading tokens as BA suggested. They were more rare than the coupon variety. For the curious my book suggests its value at $2-$4.

i love tokens. i have found a few that were given when buying shoes. some when a car was purchased. i have them from two cents on up. i have traded other detectorists at times. keep hunting and posting.

Looks like part of contents of golden egg that red goose gave as premium when you purchased shoes.  That's a memory of back to school in 60's.  The egg was full of all kinds of things.
