Hi All,
I made a trip to the UK for a funeral, that of an uncle "I have only one left now", while there my Aunt told me that he wanted me to have his WW2 medals which I just had to have. I am in the prosess of putting them into a "shadow" box along with his photo and his "firemans" badges and medal.I think we all like to see such things as we can understand to some degree the meaning behind them, also I definitely know we all would like to "find" them.
He was also in the London Fire Brigade for 40+ years and recieved a comendation for bravery saving a mother and child in a fire.
I was also lucky to find in his stuff that he had kept all his cap badges as they changed over the years......Anyway pix below...Enjoy ...HH  Johnn

Hi John,

I enjoyed reading this post & my condolences for your Uncle and best wishes to your family.

These are very precious medals & your memory of him & his service, I'm sure you'll cherish them forever more. His fire service Brigade duty is inspirational, with his heroic saving of that mum & child from that fire.
(He surely was a Patriot & hero)

Thanks for showing them,
Jim
