I found this tag last week it has " Our Father " written on it in very small letters.  Amen
Anybody seen one like it ?  Lips Sealed
Thanks,

It's the same size a little more rectangular than most tags I guess and the metal is very thin.
Thanks,
Wolfy

Some years ago a guy at an antique show had some metals like that yours. He said that the red cross or some organization give them to soldiers during WW II to wear with their dog tags. Like you said they were thin and would not hold up very long so I never bought his story.

If I was going to guess, I would say it was some type of house blessing that was tacked around the front door of a religious family. I understand that was popular up north in the 20's and 30's

Youve been getting a few catholic items. From what little I know about it, they bury objects like that also. I cant remember what the objects are called by  catholics when they do the rituals and bury them, but I asked permission to search some catholic grounds once and it was a flat no because of that. Maybe a catholic house or one  that burned down in the past and built over that you were at?
