Garrett Marksman VLF/TR & White's 6DB "bluebox"
warrenmonty71:
I have a couple of older detectors that I'm looking to trade or sale. The first is a 1980 Garrett Marksman Deepseeker VLF/TR with a 12" co-planner coil and is in great shape for the age. Next is a White's 6DB "Bluebox" with the carrycase and manuals. I want to trade the two of them for a decent newer detector (already have a F2 and a Ace 250). If anybody is interested let me know....Warren

Cool!
I have the ADS that came out just after that one.
The one I have runs at 5KHz.
Is your 5 or 15?
Need a coil for it.

I am not sure of the frequency on it. Where do you find that out on the old machines?

It does not say on the manual or any other place.
They started marking the coils when they went to 5.5KHz with a little sticker.
Yours may be the 15Khz. Cool! Gold Getter.
You would have to measure it.

I found it and it has a small gold sticker on the coil with Deepseeker 5.5 and I guess I have the 5.5Khz coil then. The coil is 12" and has some weight to it after swinging it for a while. I just like the new digital machines better and I seem to find more with them partly because I can never tune the old machines the way I should.

I had the same coil on mine. It died.
Looking for the 7" if I can find one cheap.
Yea, even with the Arm Rest it got heavy quick.
