If you read the previous page you'll see a post where I tell Peter that he can come and get his power supply that I build for his detector.

Grin Grin Ja just gave mean idea. A bit of sheep wee on some cotton-wool attached to the voltage regulator should do the trick LOL then he'll have all the dog's in the neighbourhood chasing him  Grin I'd love to see his face when that happens.

Hi guys.  Just dropping in to check and see what's up.  I've got pretty good weather today, but probably won't get out with the detector.  Enjoy hearing about your adventures during your summer!   Take care all!               Detecting

Jeez you guys can talk a lot a shyt! Silki, tried to phone....but only on Saturday sorry mate, I have had a really hectic time as my company (read ME) has been getting a little busier.........got to pay for the Wife and kids you know! Funny
Meeting client tomorrow for the "DE WETSDORP EPIC" You know Pgill I was thinking , He is quite a large chap and I could sure use the help digging a large enough hole once I've found that box. I'll let it bounce off him again.....would love some good footage. I know X is busy with his harem. Wassup X hope you are staying out of trouble.
For you folks with frozen ground....I don't really know what to say except......that would drive me insane! You Tube Diy Explosives..... nitro glycerine in your kitchen lol.
Oh and Giraffe Piss is only one of the ingredients in our beer.....

Hey do any of you have any good ideas on the Rhino crises? It's been bugging me .....I think we need to toss ideas around there has to be a simple way to make the horn useless or toxic.... or something.
A couple of thousand years ago, some guy comes up with a potion made from something that is absolutely impossible to get......the horn on a Rhinos head. People still risk life and limb to decimate a species ....we've got drugs now and guns and 4x4's and money and most importantly we've got a market.
We have a space program.......and we have people that still believe in this shit!  Amen
Okay so if any one has a thought, please speak up......crazier things have happened.
Cool girls...... hunt on Sunday.....let you all know how that goes.
v

Hey Arfieboy, glad to see you are still around  Great how is the detecting going on your side? We are messed up now as the grass is too long to detect, and the beach is too far away (+- 700km). It is now time for research into new sites for the next season, and for finishing my book that I have put together as a sort of diary of my sites and finds.

Viking, glad to hear that you are back up and running and keeping strong  Great That hunt sounds like great fun to me, so keep me posted on it  Hello

As for the rhino problem, they must just place tougher laws on the poachers, like death sentence  Beheading they will think twice then... But yes it is driving me mad also. This is a problem that will cost lots of money to sort out. Removing the fence in the Kruger was one of the problems, but they are going to put it back again, so that will help, but they should also hire a special security team where there are rhino's to look after them. I also think, but do not know how easy it would be to do, but to place them in a special safety area at night to protect them..... Just some thoughts....  Idea

Will be seeing X tomorrow afternoon, he had better behave himself or else  Round About

Promises promises that's all I ever get sure hope you wont forget the beer though  Tongue any how I have the discriminator working on the VLF but I did one big change on it I dumped the discreet components and used a pic16F690 micro controller instead, and it works, well on the bench it does. I still have a few wires to connect to the LCD then it will be testing time if that works OK I'll build the dual audio and if that's OK then I'll start to write the new program with a teach mode (That should be fun) then I'll see if I can incorporate depth to it too then the next project will be a PI pin-pointer I have some idea on hoe to do it but for now it's just that.

Viking I may be in your neck of the woods in a short while as there is a course that I want to attend to at the University of Stellenbosch so there may be a chance for us to finally meet.

Hi ArfieBoy sure glad that we don't get that harsh weather over here but hey look at the bright side of it, you don't have the high grass to contend with LOL
