Hi all
Here's me another South African...
Thanks to Xavier for referring me to this thread and for the wonderful hospitality! Was great to meet up and check out your amazing MDs in the making as well as in action on the beach! Also for all the advice. will let you know how the new settings go.

The SA MD community getting together is a brilliant idea as we really are so few!

@Viking: good to see there's another Capetonian! We should get together and hit the beaches. Recently acquired a Fisher F70 and learning the ropes but keen to get some hours in.

Will post some finds soon.
Gunna go hit the beach now Grin

Hope everyone is having a brilliant festive season! Looking forward to the progress of this 'gathering'.

Nice of you to join, you are more than welcome to join me on my hunts. I must just tell you however that I don't go hunting at 3 in the afternoon mate, I go at 3 in the morning.
Usually just myself and my buddy "Bushpig".
Just got the CZ21 and starting to do some water hunting. Got my wetsuit and kit organized.So I am in the same boat as you regards the new machine.
Where did you get the F70 if I may ask....go check my site @ metaldetect.co.za.
Where abouts are you based? If you go to my site you will get my contact details.
Just did Llundudno and the Cliftons this weekend.
Wednesday morning we are going to try Small Bay...and I mean literally. Water temp is around 2 inches hehehe!

Are you referring to Small Bay as in Table View/ Blaawberg? If that is the case then will see you there! I stay in Table View area so Small Bay is just round the corner. If only I had known there was a supplier here Cry

I shipped mine in from Kelly co in the states!!!! ouch!
Anyhoo... will go give your site a look see for sure.
Must say can understand the 3am story just got fried out there!
Alas today turned up bottle caps, a huge mystery chunk of metal, toothpaste tube, cans nails, foil (plenty) and some frustration! haha

I should be down there between 4 and 5. Bushpig has a few things he needs to do so I think we will leave at around 7.30-7.45.
Where did you hunt today? Sounds really trashy Detecting

I'll probably be in the water once the sun comes up. Gotta watch out for those Great Whites in the dark HEHE!
Don't know what the condition of the beach is like , but we will move between Big ,Small Bay and the point at Tableview. There are often some nice old coins and things that we find. Not a big Gold Ring place though....just a fun hunt.
See if you can make it.
PGill, Xavier, Silki , Hardluck, Gold digger and all those I forget...Have an awesome Festive season and be safe. As Pgill said we all need to get together next year to steal his gold.....all of it!

@Eaves, sorry Tomorrow has been postponed....just had an urgent job come in.Eish and I was so amped for it! Ah well money in the bank is also cool.

PGill, I have the info you need but that is on my "gold route" so ....sorry! The bodygaurds you mentioned ...are they the 4 guys prancing around in pink tights? Wink

I will get Bushpig to join. I have another 3 guys that I sold machines to that would like to join as well. I'll give them your mail address and ask them to drop you a mail.....actually it's 4 blokes.
