Hi again
Yip it's been ages, life kind of tends to get in the way sometimes. I don't do the detectors anymore I'm afraid. My sales where rather slow eventually and they gave me the boot. It was just a side line anyways. I have a signage business and I have started to specialize in vintage and retro decor. I do a lot of restoration work as well, Old pepsi and coke fridges, gas pumps and I do replicas of a lot of the old enamel signs. I do them in two k and then age and rust them up to look authentic. Now I am doing new business signs as well as people seem to all be looking for that old style and feel. I do a whole range of old crates and furniture out of reclaimed timber and steel too.
I'm a hands on kind of guy and I learn as I go. I comes pretty easy to me and it helps to have the graphic equipment and background as well.
I suppose it's also why I take a inland hunt on a historic sight over a beach hunt for the occasional gold ring any day as well. I just love old stuff!
Most people, when they come to my place say the same thing: '"Hey you're like that Rick guy on TV " MY ANSWER IS ALWAYS THE SAME! No But a man can dream can't he?

Those signs look very authentic!  And the gas pump is fantastic! Beautiful, even.  Thanks for sharing the pictures.   Great

Hi Guy's

Well I'm back in SA for a few days so I thought that it would be a good idea to drop you all a line to say Hi on this thread.  I won't be doing any detecting while I'm here but at least I will be taking back most of my electronic stuff to Belgium will me.
