My mistake, from the headline I thought this was a "Want Ad"
I just read an article by ABC news that stated "If found giulty... could be sentenced to 5 years prison and fined 50 million rupiah ($6000)". Small price to pay considering he has made millions on his finds.

Hello All

You have to read between the lines behind the story. Michel Hatcher has been behind some very successful recovery operations.

However to doing business in Indonesia is very hard because of the corruption. Every person you deal with you have to add 10% Pay one off another sticks their hand out. There are many powerful military dynasty that actually run the country even today if they appear to be a Democratic country.

Perhaps Michel got sick of paying all the vultures with there hands out?

Just how bad is corruption in Indonesia? To join the police or military academies as a cadet, one has to pay a bribe. And people willingly cough up the cash, because upon graduation they will be empowered to make even more money from being bribed. I'm sure Hatcher wasn't the first to go underground with his finds, and he won't be the last.
