I'm still skeptical because it still amounts to 96 lbs of gold, give or take a few ounces......that's an awful lot of gold no matter how you look at it.

i'd be looking at it like this....

This guy had no time to convert his ill gotten gains into gold, yet alone 95 lbs of it. Bullion buys of quantity would leave a record trail and he didn't so its all just a hoax...

Can you imagine what a 95 lb weight would do to a man pulling a ripcord? It would tear right through most bags easily... Naw just another lie from a practiced liar...

Who is to say he didn't stash it for a rainy day. Honestly doubt he purchased it all in one sitting. If I were in tthe alleged area I would be looking.

Over the years I'v learned one thing about metal detecting. You arn't going to find anything if people have never been there before....

Go for it...

When you find it you realize it won't be yours right?  This guys a thief and the gold if it exists a product of that theft... If it indeed was stolen goods some insurance company owns the rights to it.

Of course you could always find it and keep it a secret.... But naww  that would be theft...

Marcus Schrenker has finally been captured in Florida after attempting to fake his own death and then actually trying to kill himself. Schrenker tried to fake a plane crash earlier this week: he called air traffic control, said his windshield had imploded and he was bleeding profusely, then parachuted out of the plane and headed for a motel. Schrenker soon fled the motel and was found days later at a Florida campsite?this time, actually bleeding profusely with slit wrists. Schrenker is the president of a wealth management company, so of course everyone is wondering if he tried to fake his own death because of losing a bunch of money or something

1.8 Million... Enough to live for a time out of country. With a plane he had the ability to make it to Bahama's, Cuba, Mexico, north to Canada, etc...

This guys another loser thief. He blew his ill gotten gains and ran for the hills and ran out of options. You don't kill yourself if you've got 1.8 million in options...

Sorry folks but I'm a real skeptic about this.... But show me the gold an I'll beleive you...

This guy embezzled a bunch of money from investors  alot of elderly  people  as well .a real piece of work  he took them for millions  but to  lose that much gold  faking  a plane crash  i would say  he spent the money and was saying that to get insurance money for it scheeming . but i have to say it would be worth a look  especially if you have local knowlege  of the area  when it was so dry a while back would have been a good time if its in the water  as heavy as that would be it would really sink in that mud  if it is there i hove it landed on dryland or it will be a while before its found  some places on that river are 150 ft  or more i. i have been on that river as best i remember its not near childers burg i may be wrong  i have family in talladega  munford and piedmont   cant remember the coosa in that area  its more towards  logan martin lake  i will have to look at a map  that was 20 years ago  or better  be fore i moved to were i am now

Posted on: February 01, 2011, 10:53:03 PM
i was wrong it is north of were i used to live  but a plus to that is its not a wide up there . were i lived it ran into logan martin lake  and was pretty wide until they dropped water to winter levels to maintain generation of power at the dam that far north water level probably dont go down much  unless theres a lack of rain   if i lived close i would check it out   fo sho
