Sue, having worked in the construction industry for the last 32 years, I know what can be found in old privies. Just about any thing you can imagine. Guns, bottles( especially medicine bottles), coins, etc. I once found my wife an orange juicer 18 feet under route 66 near Odell Illinois, she uses it to this day. One small chip was the only damage. The patent date on it was the end of the 19th century.  You'ld be surprised at the bottles that can be found in an old crapper.
