Kidd's Ship Found Off Dominican Island

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) ? A U.S. underwater archaeology team announced Thursday it has likely discovered the shattered remnants of a ship once captained by the notorious buccaneer William Kidd off a tiny Dominican Republic island. . .

The barnacled cannons and anchors found stacked beneath just 10 feet of crystalline coastal waters off Catalina Island are believed to be the wreckage of the Quedagh Merchant, a ship abandoned by the Scottish privateer in 1699. . . "When I first looked down and saw it, I couldn't believe everybody missed it for 300 years," . . . . .

Hi Sue,
If you look up reply 62 on my old Kidd treasure chart posts, you will see that I mentioned that Kidds ship the Adventure prize or Quedagh merchant, was located near a certain Island!!?
Told you so comes to mind!
Just joking of course.
Regards kevin.

"Told you so comes to mind!"

Hiya Kevin! Indeed it does!
"Why! someone would want to find Kidds' ship, which would have been stripped of anything valuable, is beyond me??"
Yep, all they seemed to have found is cannons  Smiley Sue
