Father & daughter hoping to find gold treasure worth millions, at least. French explorers found an old Spanish mine and this duo have found lots of markers, including turtles, that they hope leads them to the mine. Video of newscast and tonight the station is doing a feature on the markers. They have a treasure trove permit so I guess they feel comfortable making their quest public. Sue

Sue that was great news-blurb, but did you record the follow-up broadcast that they said would profile the actual markers they've found. To date it said they have located 40 that relate to a specific lost mine.It would make a GREAT YouTube broadcast if you recorded it. Cheesy

I"m not in Amarillo - I just said there would be a feature on the markers in case anyone had that station. Best I can follow up with is another news story, called Looking For The Lost Mine, that appeared the next day. No video. Might have been text from the broadcast. The father and daughter describe their "Rosetta Stone" and say "Each time we go we expect to possibly find it. But what we find is another marker leading us on. Now we"re at the top of the mountain. There"s no further to go, these markers are going to tell us where it is," They seem full of expectation though as they state what they are going to do once they find it. Sue
