It appears that archaeologists have found the grave of the woman who posed for Leonardo da Vince more than 500 years ago. DNA testing to see if the remains match living descendants will be performed to see if it really is her. Maybe they can clone her for me. Mona and I used to date when I was a teenager and it would be great to see her again. She was pretty hot. Yes, I'm that old.

By the way, I forgot the disclaimer: Don't try this at home. Ordinary mortals are not allowed to rob graves.

I dont understand why they cant leave the dead alone Just because some Phd fool thinks he has the right, I wonder how he/she would feel if I went and dug his mother up   Shocked

on the basis that she might be related to the person who might of found Mona Lisa's grave,
It has no benifit to everyday life, it wont save the starvin millions or drought ridden countries
or solve unemployment etc etc and I bet the common man will have to foot the bill because he wont pay for it ALL out of his own pocket,

God why am I such a Grinch   Cheesy

But on the lighter side it is still a good history article

Thanks GD for posting it

Very interesting story, GD.  Thanks for posting it!

I have to somewhat agree with AU about digging the graves up.   But...  on the other hand,  I want to know!

That's the one thing that keeps it this side of being a heinous act for me. There needs to be a line drawn though. What's the difference between a grave that is 20 years old, 500 years old an 100,000 years old. It's not just the time, it's more like who is still alive to be hurt by digging it up.

Seriously, Homefire. At what point does it seem to be all right to investigate a grave site? Surely 2000 year old sites are beyond the concern of anyone living today.

GD, I just think digging graves is wrong.

Once Interned they should stay where someone cared to put them.

Bodies in the dirt NO GRAVE is one thing.

Bodies Ripped out of a GRAVE in another.

Eternal Resting Places should be For Ever.

Not because someone wants to know who's body it is.

What are they going to do if it is her?

Display Her in some Glass Box some place?

Exactly! My wife got me a sweater for Christmas last year even though the weather was pretty mild.

I prefer a moaner or a screamer though. She knows better now.
