Thanks Dean, here's another version from the Guardian with a different picture of the little pooch - that's something I'd have loved to find, but hated to part with under their laws. "A beautiful little bronze dog, dating from the 4th century and still shiny from years of being stroked"  This reporter added best places to detect in the UK - where some "fabulous finds" were found.  Sue

I understand your feeling Sue..however $50,000 split between the landowmer and finder makes it abit easier to dael with.
