Rough Seas May Stir Up Shipwreck Artifacts

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, FL -- A 12-foot rudder from a 19th century shipwreck.

Artifacts from another 200 year old shipwreck.

These are rusty relics that washed ashore after storms in 2005 and 2006.

And this week's storm has archeologists like Robin Moore anticipating new treasures coming aground.

?A lot of these waves you see are affecting the bottom... way out there,? Moore points to the ocean. ?So you have a lot of energy on the bottom out there. That stirs up shipwrecks.? . . . .
