Thieves strike at Ayutthaya temple
      


300-year-old Buddha images in a temple in Ayutthaya province in Thailand have either been damaged or stolen by thieves.

   People who would do things like that give all of us a bad name even though they are in no way related to us.    Unfortunately, though, the general public tends to lump them and us into the heading "treasure hunters".   Then the professionals, also known as archeologists, use that image to get all sorts of restrictions placed on our activities.
