A gardener uncovered a clay pot containing about 150 coins dating back as far as the 18th century.

?I have found lots of things working in the garden here before, including jewellery, china, a shoe and Victorian bottles but this seems to have actually been buried,? she said.

?I think perhaps we might now see if we can find a friend with a metal detector. We could start our own little museum with all the things we have dug up in the garden.?
