you folks may have heard of this or it maybe searched out by now but i thought i would put it out there if somone wanted  to check out  its up to you to decide if its worth searchin i am in the mid west and i detect/dig,respectful, legal and with permission i urge you to please do so as well  so keep that in mind. with that said  in washington state near stevens pass  in the cascade mountains  there was an avalanche that destroyed 2 trains 1 mail ,1passenger i think north of a town that is /was called wellington i think its called Tye now  in king county   hikers have found items from the tragedy A  while back  so it maybe pretty remote and could be  searched out by now  but if some one is close to that area it may be worth a looksy this happened in 1910  with great loss of life and the train was pushed down the mountain about 150 ft  from what i have read  there maybe  be historical  things   laying out there no one will ever see unless found  but it maybe in a national park or somthing  josey

Interesting story, Josey!  I think I read about this one many years ago, I just don't remember where or when.  You have my curiosity up now, so I'm going to have to see if I can find more information about it.  Thanks for the reminder!               Detecting
