I work as an industrial electrician. copper makes one heckofa lot of vacation pay just from the scrap ends. one side note the big over head lines are not copper wire but alluminum. if the wire is copper it should weigh between 8 and 10 lbs per foot. even with the insulation on it it is going for $0.18 a lb right now if it is one long piece you only need to get to one end and then drag it out. good luck to you
