I have heard many versions from some of the oldtimers in the area but supposeably in 1809 outside of chester ill. a stage coach was robbed of 44,000 in gold coins and was buried near chester. I have been trying to find some maps of the old stage coach routes in the area but to no avail. if anyone has any old maps of routes in this area it would be helpful..

also heard that an officer in the gearge rogers clark expedition in 1778 had buried 3500 in silver coins somewhere by the mississippi river.

I added some attachments that i have found so far Detecting
